I am off to China this Friday for the last part of my year of challenges.

I will be travelling to Heathrow on Friday then flying via Dubai to Beijing overnight.

The trekking begins on Sunday and we are out everyday for five days for up to 8 hours each day.

We then have a couple of days free before heading back to Heathrow on Sunday 19th October.

I am so excited but also nervous. It really will be the climax of the year and I can’t wait.

I can’t post on facebook from China and the mobile reception is pretty poor in the remote areas we will be visiting so I have been told to tell you all that no news is good news – I will just have to bore you all with it on my return!

Gentle training walk!

With a weather forecast of sunshine all day, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to head out into Wales for a hilly walk. We weren’t disappointed – a spectacular walk through the autumnal foliage, to Aber Falls and a round trip of about 5 miles up and over the hill to complete the day. One very tired dog & 2 tired children, who were incredibly pleasant to each other all day, equals 2 very happy parents!

Also a fabulous opportunity to wear my CMA T-shirt for the first time. I had to lift the dog over a fence at one point so it will need a good scrub ahead of the Santa Dash!

Enjoy the photos – we had a great day!
